Project 3. A set of Notelets.

Notelet Box

I also used ‘Pollyanna Pickering’s Countryside Collection DVD Rom’ in this project but you could use anything you liked.

Using Some design software I enlarged the template so that it almost filled an A3 sheet (Will cover this in more detail at a later date) and printed it out.  You could photocopy at 200%

On the reverse of the template I printed a backing paper.

From the DVD Rom, I printed the following -

On 250 gsm card - 6 x Notelets at 75%,(a)

On 160 gsm paper - 1 x Topper Sheet (For the front of the box),

- 1 x Notelet at 50%, (b)

- 1 x Backing Paper (To line the box),

On 100 gsm paper - 6 x Inserts at 75% (Same as Notelets (a)),

- 6 x Envelopes at 75% (Same as Notelets (a)),

- 1 x Insert at 50% (Same as Notelets (b)).

Cut out all elements.

Score all dotted lines on the template and glue the two pieces together to make one piece, crease all lines.

Make up the box lid piece as per the instructions included.

Use the top edge of the front as a template for the lining paper, cut and glue to the front, 5mm above the front edge of the card.

As the cards are not quite as deep as the box I made a step inside the box by cutting a piece of spare card to 4 1/4" (W) x 4 3/4" and then scoring at 1 1/2" & 3 1/4" and gluing to the back of the card.

Finish making up the box as per the original instructions gluing the 'step' piece to the front as you go.

Decorate the front of the box using the mats and toppers.

Score all cards, inserts & envelopes,

Using double sided tape stick the insets inside the cards and make up the envelopes.

Do the same for the Notelet printed at 50% but put a hole in the corner to use as a tag, Punch a hole in the side of the box and thread through both.

Place the note lets and envelopes inside the box.

Happy Fathers Day to all the dad's out there.
